I love this time of year when all of the trees are in full glorious technicolour, life in full colour, crisp Autumn days and lots of fresh air.
Of course, this is not the only reason that I love October, the other reason that I love October is that its Samhain on 31st ( Halloween), this is the most important festival in the Witches Wheel of the Year.
We celebrate the changing of the seasons, the veil between the spirit world and our earth plane is at its thinnest so that communication is easier with our loved ones is easier, divination at this time is very powerful and honouring our Ancestors with ritual and laying on a feast is traditional.
We also reflect on the year that has gone, what we have achieved thus far and what has not worked out so well, how we have handled situations and what we need to work on more or change.
The New Year starts off with Day of the Dead where we give offerings and place pictures of our loved ones on our Altars (we actually put the photos on our Altar on Samhain), here we remember how important family are and what really matters in this life.
Remember to live, love and laugh lots bring joy to everything you do, enjoy this life don’t live as if you were a robot with no thought, feeling or questioning what we are doing. If it doesn’t make you joyful change it.
